ENERGY STAR Certification

ENERGY STAR is the most widely recognized energy efficiency label in North America. For LED luminaires, it requires:

• Efficacy ≥ 80 lumens per watt (varies by product category)
• Lumen maintenance L70 ≥ 25,000 hours
• CRI ≥ 90 Ra (for most indoor categories)
• Power factor ≥ 0.7 (residential) or ≥ 0.9 (commercial)
• Warranty ≥ 3 years (5 years for some categories)

Kingseng’s KS-PL pendant series (KS-PL-001 to KS-PL-013) and KS-WS wall sconce series (KS-WS-001 to KS-WS-009) meet or exceed ENERGY STAR criteria, with efficacy of 90–110 lm/W and L70 > 50,000 hours across the range.

DLC (DesignLights Consortium) Premium

DLC certification is the standard for commercial LED products in the United States and Canada. DLC Premium — the higher tier — qualifies products for utility rebate programs that can offset 30–50% of project fixture cost.

Currently, Kingseng KS-LT track lights carry DLC Premium listing, making them eligible for major utility rebate programs including NYSERDA, ComEd, PG&E, and Southern California Edison. UL Listing (Safety Certification)

UL 1598 (luminaire safety) and UL 8750 (LED components) are mandatory for commercial installations in the United States. Key elements of UL certification that Kingseng addresses:

• UL 1598 Wet/Damp Location: Our KS-AL alabaster series (KS-AL-001 to KS-AL-007) is UL-listed for damp locations — suitable for hotel bathrooms, covered patios, and poolside areas.
• UL 1993 (Self-Ballasted Lamps): Kingseng LED filament bulbs meet UL 1993 for screw-base retrofit applications.
• UL 2108 (Low Voltage Lighting Systems): Our 12V/24V accessory line and T8 wiring harnesses comply with UL 2108 safety standards.

CE & UKCA (European & UK Markets)

For European Union and United Kingdom installations, Kingseng products carry CE marking and UKCA certification, encompassing:

• EN 60598: Luminaire safety (equivalent to UL 1598)
• EN 55015: Electromagnetic emissions
• EN 61547: Electromagnetic immunity (includes flicker testing per IEEE 1789)
• EN 62493: Human exposure to electromagnetic fields from lighting equipment
• ErP Directive (EU) 2019/2020: Energy efficiency eco-design requirements

RoHS & REACH Compliance

All Kingseng products are RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliant — no lead, mercury, cadmium, or other restricted substances in excess of allowable thresholds. Our supply chain also meets REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) requirements for the European market, with full material declaration reports available for project submittal.
