What is the difference between AL1 and AL2?
AL1 is a basic DMX/RDM distribution cabinet rated at 1800W with standard control. AL2 adds 0-10V analog dimming output, making it suitable for both digital DMX and traditional analog lighting systems in a single unit.
Can the AL2 be installed outdoors?
Yes. The IP54-rated steel enclosure protects against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction. For permanent outdoor exposure, we recommend installing under a sheltered overhang or adding an optional weather hood.
What types of lights can the AL2 control?
The AL2 controls any DMX-compatible LED fixtures (pars, moving heads, strip lights, wash lights) plus 0-10V dimmable fixtures. Compatible with all major lighting consoles and software: grandMA, Avolites, Chamsys, Lightkey, QLC+, and more.
Is professional installation required?
We strongly recommend certified electrician installation. The AL2 handles 1800W at mains voltage u2014 improper wiring creates fire and shock hazards. Full installation manual and wiring diagrams are included in the box.
