Kitchen Lighting Safety Guide

Good kitchen lighting improves cooking experience and safety. Approximately 30% of kitchen accidents are related to inadequate lighting.

Three Key Areas

1. Overhead Ambient Lighting: Recessed downlights or panel lights, recommended at 4000K natural white.

2. Task Lighting for Countertops: Install LED strip lights under wall cabinets to directly illuminate the prep area, color temperature 4000-5000K.

3. Above the Sink: Add a spotlight to ensure sufficient light for washing.

Installation Tips

Unify color temperature at 4000-4500K. Choose fixtures with a waterproof rating of at least IP44. Place switches at the entrance.
